Very secluded. Extremely quiet. We went four wheeling. Close trails. Nice time. Relaxing. It had big windows to enjoy the nature.

Cozy, but only for the night
It was a pleasant stay, the day bed in the Meadows was not the best when it came to pulling it out for a king.. Overall, the place was cleaned and well maintained. It is tick season, so watch out for that. There were miniature horses and a donkey, along with 3 full size horses. It could have been a little better stocked with personal care items, ( If they choose to keep those for guests) and had the already used items disposed of. We would go back and stay again, but maybe change cabins for more privacy. They had a charcoal grill provided, and all of the towels and sheets you'd need. Everything was cleaned and labeled. Be prepared for a lot of notes around the cabin of what you can, cannot, and should do!

Too late
I showed up after hours apparently and I didn’t get to stay the night because nobody answered the door. But I thought it looked really cool with the animals and everything. I will definitely be going back there sometime soon!

2 Night Stay-Cedar House (If you don’t mind older)
Picked this place because the family wanted something deep in the woods to gather for our family Christmas. It was definitely deep in there and the local roads in the winter are pretty icy and covered due to lack of traffic. First impression was the lack of privacy. Owners live onsite. I’m assuming the main building is the office/home and located only a couple feet away from the Cedar House. Didn’t really like that, but they leave you alone. Mike was really nice, but not too impressed with the older lady. Needed more toilet paper and was questioned from the lady. She was pretty adamant she had left an extra roll in the cabinet. Told her I looked and found none. Regardless it’s only toilet paper. This made me feel a bit uncomfortable and embarrassed for even asking. If I would of known I would of brought my own. 🙄 Snow banks were high and driveway was extremely narrow and tight. This place had horses surrounding the house we stayed in. Beautiful animals and they gave us no problems, but the space should be used to better accommodate renters. Too tight everywhere I felt. House and things inside need a lot of updating and deep cleaning. Dead lady bugs everywhere. As a rental property I would highly recommend getting new matching towels, bed sheets, blankets, furniture etc... Get rid of old partially used hotel shampoo, conditioner etc... that previous renters probably brought in. There were a lot of tacky notes and reminders all over the house. Kind of weird and not tasteful.
Too tight and not private. Main road in sits just straight back behind the horses.
Did not utilize fireplace for a fire. Instead, used it to display our ornament making skills.
Tacky notes and reminders.

We chose the Shire because it was close to a wedding venue we were coming to. We rented a cabin with supposedly 4 bedrooms. It had 2 bedrooms and a bed in the LR and a bed in a hall area😔. Nobody was in the office when we arrived and then when they did show up it took forever to get checked in. We went to cabin to start unpacking and they had it locked and forgot to give us keys. The next morning we ran out toilet paper and again, there was no one in the office. There's two small fridges and no actual stove in the kitchen. We won't stay there again.

We did not get the cabin we reserved, it had been given to other customers. The property was fully booked, but fortunately there did happen to be one more cabin available that suites our needs

Short stay
The cabins were a nice set up. They had everything yo9u would expect. Appreciated they are pet friendly. Only thing which seemed to be a little odd was the need to bring your dirty linens off the beds and your trash up to the office when you checked out. The cabin we stayed in was small and was adequate for our needs. The shower in this Loft cabin is a little on the small side. tough to take a shower without creating a mess.

Peaceful cabin with coffee, tea, kitchen, bed and bathroom. Shower would be too small for a big person and maybe even for an average size person. I’m small and it was tight. Slept well. Friendly owner. Definitely out in in the country.
