It is a renewed hotel which was formally a Hampton Inn. The location is really good, we could just walk to the central park and there were a lot of diners to try and especially convenient for using subway lines. The 'connected' services with the local neighborhood was great, I really enjoyed free bicycle rental coupons.
The room was not very spacious as I expected, but still was a good value for the price. I would've appreciated better a little more larger bathroom with little smaller room. Overall, the stay was good but I did have some unpleasant experience with the bellman service. Though I am not a frequent traveller, I do have some experience with other hotels and there, A Bellman would take customers' luggage to their room or at least, open hotel doors for them. However, the bellman in front of the hotel didn't do much with the doors and also, I was asked for a tip to just get our luggages from the luggage room and passed them to us even though we already gave our tips to a different man when we kept our luggages and we had to carry those luggages to our room by ourselves. I see the hotel is still under some renovation so things might get better than what it was like at the time we spent ours there, but in terms of services, it definitely has some to be improved.
