This is a solid, but often overpriced, four star hotel, that welcomes you with a lobby with its name and five stars. Perhaps the OTA and the hotel should come to an agreement on whether this is a 5 star stay.
While the check in process was smooth, and the room had a nice view of the surrounding hills, my experience was soured by the service I received.
I was instructed not to bring any guests to my room. While this may have been safety oriented, it felt intrusive. There appeared to be no working cable channels, we had to call down for a hair dryer, and the towels were a bit small for a room with two beds and at least two adults.
I reserved a room with two beds, and went to breakfast the next morning with the person traveling with me. I was greeted and allowed to have breakfast. On check out, I was instructed to pay the cost of the breakfast for the second person staying in the room. This amount was nearly 33% of the total stay for the room. As a Spanish speaker, I tried to reason with the staff, that two people with two beds would be allowed two breakfasts, but they were very determined to pinch their Pennies and insisted that the OTA booking was for 2 beds, but only 1 person. Strange!
I paid the bill in order to not make a scene. The hotel security staff hassled my Uber driver and made him pay a fine for waiting while I came downstairs and was ambushed with a bill at check out. I am a modest hotel guest, but this experience was well short of supposed 5 star service.
