During the four days of recent stay in Villa 9, I and my friends lost total 900 US$ ($300 from small bag, $100 from the wallet and $500 from backpack). We informed the resort on the first day of stay right after realizing our money was stolen but the resort did not take proper action.
Security team did investigation our Villa, but nothing can be found since there was NO surveillance cameras around our room. Without any sincere apologies, they raised us the issue of not using safety box. However, NO ONE in the resort explained about any facilities in Villa 9 including the location of safety box and how to use it. Considering the villa size and various facilities in the room, it is obviously resort’s responsibility to provide customers with every necessary information about using the resort and ensure customers’ safety.
Until we checked out, the resort did not show neither apologies on our terrible accident nor explanation on how to solve the problem and improve their security system in the future. Furthermore, the resort tried to charge us 10,000pesos for smoking in terrace outside of villa which has NO sign for prohibiting smoking. Of course, no one explained us about smoking policies either.
In conclusion, I will not stay in BE grand resort moving forward and will not recommend this resort to anyone. This resort had poor security system, neglected to give the necessary guidance to the customer and showed unsatisfactory response.
