This was by far the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. I took my 2 daughters and 4 year old granddaughter to the beach for the night. I paid way too much for this room. The hot tub was broken and the pool was filthy. Online it stated that there were 2 queen beds in the room but when we arrived they were definitely not queen beds. So, at about 10:30pm I'm getting into bed with my daughter and I pull back the sheets and theres a horrible smell. I mean it smelt like someone just wiped their butt all over this bed. So I go to the lobby and tell the guy at the front desk. He says theres no rooms left but he can give me new bedding. At this point what am I to do, so I take the bedding. I go upstairs and strip the bed and the smell gets worse, its the mattress. It was the worst smell ever. So I go back to the lobby, and tell him its the mattress and that I'm not sleeping on that bed. At this point I'm pretty upset, I've got tired kids and I'm exhausted and frustrated. Especially since this room was so expensive. He then proceeds to tell me that he has a room and he will upgrade me, he had told me on my first trip down that he didn't have any rooms. Never offers a refund or partial refund for the many inconveniences. So I take the new room. We have to pack up all our stuff and move up a floor with a sleepy toddler, not fun. We get to this "upgraded" and there is blood stains all over the floor. I have pictures. The breakfast was not edible either. Do not stay at this Shilo.
