Two friends and I stayed for a night. The parking lot is pretty beat up. We got our room key but had problems with it not opening the door. I went down to see if something could be done about it and was given the same key but said it should work now. I went back up but had the same problem. One friend decided to give it a try and pushed on the door really hard and it finally opened. We didn’t have any towels. When we went down to get some, some other guest were there for the each same reason. One of the beds was very shaky, possibly a bit broken but that didn’t affect our sleep. They are pet friendly so that’s a plus. Very average stay. If you just need a place to sleep then it gets the job done.

Do not stay here. Terrible room smells, no towels provided, stains on bed sheets, my room had a tv remote with no tv. I went to go complain about not having a tv and they said they did not have any. Overheard a family complaining about bedbugs and leaving the property late at night. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!

There were a few things we noticed that could have been of just a little better. One example: There were No towels in the room so, we had to go back to front desk and ask for them. Towels seemed to be the least expensive they found.

Worst room I’ve ever stayed in. The room was filthy, bathroom was falling apart, the bathtub was painted with house paint.. no towels in the room and no cleaning service. They couldn’t pay me to stay there again

We checked in for about 1 hour before deciding there was no way we could stay here . Carpets clearly had not been vacuumed , the bed had stains of “ all types” and it hair ALL OVER the outside and inside . The wall in the bathroom was cracked and it looked like they put some plaster over it and then stuck the tile back on which you could see had mold .The bathroom tub was chipped everywhere and also had hair .. We knew it wasn’t good when we pulled up to the GREEN pool and the smell of a dumpster … literally it smelled like we were next to a trash bin and it got worse as we got to the room. The lobby pictures on Hotels.com are definitely fake. There no seating like it shows , the doors are taped everywhere and there are SO MANY flies . I am okay with a “ you get what you pay for “ type of place but I wouldn’t pay to stay here period.

My stay at the Rodeway Inn Watsonville was overall decent. The room itself was clean and quiet, which made for an uneventful and restful stay—just what I needed. However, the customer service left a bit to be desired. Prior to my arrival, I called with a few questions about my reservation and didn’t receive a helpful response. During my stay, I called the front desk for assistance but no one answered, which was frustrating. I also noticed that towels were missing from the room at check-in, so I had to go down to the front desk to request them in person. It wasn’t a major issue, but the lack of responsiveness did affect the overall experience. If the staff were a bit more attentive, this would’ve been a much more positive stay. That said, if you’re just looking for a clean and affordable place to sleep without many frills, this location does the job.

I looked at the room and decided I could NOT stay. It was dirty, it smelled bad, the curtains were torn, the furniture was mis-matched and beat up. The bathroom towel rack was tipped off. There were no towels. The room was hot and the air conditioner fan was squeaking. The lobby and the elevator walls were scratched up. Only one door (from double doors) in entry worked. The other door was taped together. IT WAS AWFUL!

I refused to stay at this motel. So dirty the bathroom had hair in tub on the door. The motel looks nothing like the pictures.

The hotel was reasonably priced for a weekend where all other hotels where charging outrageous prices because of local events (which I was not attending). So that in itself was an appreciated! BUT ... Something that's never happened to me at a hotel, EVER... Is that the hotel was out of TOWELS! Yes, you heard that correctly, they were out of towels! Checked into my room after an 8-hour drive wanting a shower looked around the room there were zero towels no bath towels no hand towels no washcloths nothing. Called the front desk they said they'd bring us something in 10 minutes after 30 minutes waiting went down to the front desk asked them for some towels and they said "we are out of towels"... and all they could say was sorry. Unbelievable! After going back and forth with them about when we could possibly get some towels (maybe around 9am the next morning!) my husband asked, you don't even have any washcloths or hand towels? ... And they said they did and gave us some hand towels. They didn't offer him up we had to ask, which was weird. Anyhow my advice would be that maybe someone working there could have gone to Walmart and picked up a couple dozen towels or something when they realized that the booked rooms has no towels. They said they were losing business and couldn't sell all the rooms because they didn't have any towels, it's just strange that a hotel wouldn't have enough towels for every room in the establishment! Other than that the stay was fine.
