Where do I begin? What was supposed to be a vacation after Thanksgiving quickly turned into a nightmare. When I checked in, I was informed that I didn’t have a room because someone had messed up my reservation.
After finally getting our wristbands to access the water park, I was told that we could use our dining credits that we paid for with the Fireside package. However, when I tried to use my credits at Buckets, I was informed that we couldn’t use them because we didn’t have a room assigned yet. This forced me to return to the long general questions line. By this time, it was 3:20 PM. I was told that by 4 PM we would have our room number and be able to use our credits.
At 4:10 PM, I still hadn’t received my room, so I had to go back to the general questions line. There, I found other guests who were also experiencing the same issue. Finally, at 4:40 PM, they gave me my room and a complimentary late check-out for 2 PM, but I had already paid for a 2 PM late check-out with my original reservation. They assured me that I would be refunded.
I tried to enjoy my night, but in the morning I noticed that I had not received a refund for the late check-out. To my surprise, I also saw an additional charge of $164.28 on my credit card. At 7AM, I returned to the general questions line. The lady who helped me was very nice and managed to process my 2 PM late check-out refund as well as the $164.28 that I was charged, although she didn’t know why it had been charged in the first place
