Our stay here was convenient for the wedding we were in town to attend. We loved the view and the quietness there however the place definitely is an older beach motel. It could definitely use some updating.

2nd stay here
This was my second stay here with my wife, and was good all in all. This is an older style motel but theyve done a pretty good job of maintaining and updating. It actually has a bit of a sentimental, retro feel. Has always been clean. Can't beat the ocean front location (especially for the price). Staff has always been extremely kind, friendly, and helpful - except the morning we checked out this stay. Unfortunately the attendant seemed annoyed to be there, was very late putting out continental breakfast and coffee (we couldn't wait after checking multiple timee and had to stop elsewhere for coffee), and wasn't very helpful when asked about getting a room receipt. We all have bad days and we'll assume this was the case for her. We would stay here again - sufficent, clean room with a good location for the money.

Good place to stay
The room was clean and comfortable. The property is located right on fernandina beach. While you may not be able to see the beach from your room, a few steps out the door will bring it into view and a short walk down the path will put you right on the beach. The property was quiet. There was a restaurant right across the street and many more in short driving distance. We were happy with the stay and would definitely consider staying again if we are in the area.

Great little Motel on the beach
The Beachside Motel is one of my favorite places to stay in Fernandina Beach, only problem is… they STAY booked up! That’s how great this place is. Family owned, no frills, on the beach. Located directly across from The Surf restaurant. Rooms are always clean, well equipped with everything you need. Owners go above and beyond to make sure you’re comfortable and have what you need. Location is excellent. Only a few miles from downtown. If you’re looking for an affordable, clean, comfy place on the beach. This is it! But don’t wait to long to make your reservations!

The room was very nice and very clean. Shower was hottest and had the most pressure of any i have ever had. Staff was very friendly and when I reported a light out in our kitchen it was fixed immediately. While not a condo it was just what weneeded for visiting for Thanksgiving. I highly recommend Beachside

Motel has 2 floors - small be quaint.A perfect spot for a mother - daughter trip to the beach. We felt like we were in a Mary Kay Andrew’s beach book! You could see the water from the balcony. We were only a few steps from the dunes to the OCEAN! Also very close to restaurants and shops.

We spent two nights there before leaving on a cruise from Jacksonville. There was a good seafood restaurant right across the street, and the beach was right there, a veey short walk from our room. Our room was very nice, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Great value for the price!

Great location right on the beach. A budget hotel experience by the beach. Pool is very cold. Shower is very nice. Pool furniture could be better. Friendly staff. The Surf is a pretty decent restaurant across the street.
