On my travel route, dog friendly.

8/10 Very good

Cheap stop over before an early Eurotunnel start. Large family room was ok if a little shabby, reception staff were lovely and welcoming. Not much noise considering how close you are to the motorway.

Great for stopover

Stopped for one night before using channel tunnel next morning. The hotel was clean, the rooms are very spacious and tea coffee making etc but ready for updating. Pet friendly and services on site.

Night staff lady great help as always

6/10 Good

Just looking for a bed and a shower close to the highway, nu fuzz or high expectations. Yet, this facility needs a drastic renovation. Old and worn. I'm sure the cleaning staff do their best. But how to clean x times painted over doors etc? The bed was good though!
Eelco, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Really great place to stay if en route to the Shuttle. Welcoming staff, clean rooms, spacious with tea/coffee facilities. Shower excellent. Adjacent free parking. Only downside is the poor service area next door. OK if you like McDonalds - only offering in the evening. Even Costa closes around 1800. Good value for money though. Recommended

Parking area for hotel could be more defined and restricted from main car parking for rest area. Can be noisey at night with cars and people using service area.

Meh!

Cheap, but the room wasn't very clean.
1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

I like the friendly staff. The clean tidy rooms and the cookies were a nice touch as well. The internet connection was a bit annoying but it did work eventually. The noise from the refrigeration unit on a lorry was a bit noisy on the first night but I slept well so it couldn't have been that bad!
Tina, 3-night trip

We were given a disability room, husband is 6ft sink etc too low

Firstly, Google takes you to a lorry park if you put this hotel into maps. Not a major problem nor the hotel's fault, you'd think. But the hotel is situated in a corner of this services, obscured by construction work and I had to ask at the petrol station if there was a hotel near by or was Google lieing. Hotel is in need of a lot of TLC. My first and last visit here.
Nigel, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

The room is very tired and in need of work. Ceiling, Walls poor. Radiator in bathroom rusty. Bathroom also very tired and in need of work.
R, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Lots of mould in room 29 it was black on bathroom ceiling and around the main window come on days in if you clean a room get someone capable of doing everything we will not be staying again
Dean, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Shockingly bad.

The hotel is wrecked. The walls are cracked, the paintwork is scratched and the bath tubs are chipped and covered in on-grained dirt with mould in the tiling grout. Like others have said, there were hairs on the bedding and an awful smell. And at 3am another guest was in the hallway banging on doors and raving about being a crack addict. There’s clearly no security as they did nothing to stop her.
Sara, 1-night trip

Days in

The rooms were dusty, had paint pealing of the walls, damp in the wall corners, there were birds sitting outside the window ledge always fluttering and making noise, and I also think there was a wasp outside as wasp kept on coming in the room.overrall I would not stay there again, the bath was very creaky as you stood in it,the bed was also to soft to sleep on,so nop not worth the price at all ,it's a 1 star hotel and to be honest they should just knock it down and start again, they really need to sort out the birds on the roofs as it's really annoying
5-night trip

8/10 Very good

STAFF

It's a 3 star hotel in a motorway service station. What do you expect? The rooms are bigger than you would expect and the beds are large and comfortable. The thing that sets this place above all other average places are the staff. They are all wonderful! I've stayed here many times because of them. Mark, Sharron, Kerry, Lisa, Tara, are all ones that deserve an extra mention. Sorry to anyone I forgot but all deserve a massive pat on the back. The whole place needs a refurb but the staff carry the experience over the crap paint and enamel. Really nice people who need to be recognised. PLEASE GIVE THEM AT LEAST A THANK YOU!!!!
