I stayed a week from Jul 1st at The Towers at Lotte New York Palace with my mom and brother. The room was just so so. Maybe I expected too much on the quality of the room from the general reputation of the hotel.. Anyway, it was comfortable at least.
But, the biggest problems are,
(i) The room was too dusty. Housekeepers did great jobs in cleaning the room, but soon I noticed that there were too much dust in the air. Every morning, I found my black notebook became a half-grey one. (I should have taken pictures..)
(ii) I am afraid that both the reception desk and concierge were not well-trained for this 5-star hotel. Just for one example, I and my mom were carrying baggages in both hands on the day of check-out. But NOT A SINGLE PERSON at the reception and concierge desks helped us to open the door of The Towers and also of the Lotte Palace (you need to open two doors, The Towers 'and' The Lotte Palace, to get out of the hotel)! I never expected such situation even in 4-star or even 3-star hotels.
I tried my best to plan everything in this trip for my mom, but I shouldn't have chosen this hotel.
