We decided to celebrate New Year in Bangkok on a last minute basis and booked Prestige Suites which still had availability. First, when we checked-in, the receptionnist told us that we had to move to a different building which was surprising because nobody got in touch with us to let us know prior to check-in. So we moved to Prestige Hotel. It is old building, with very basic confort standards. Room very noisy because of the neighbors (you can hear them next door). But apart from that, location is convenient (a few steps from BTS Station) and staff is helpful and friendly. I won't come back because you can find much better in BKK but special thanks to Ms Ann at reception for her help.
The hotel is not a very clean hotel. It is on a really small street that my taxi could not even drive down to get to the hotel. The walls are paper thin so you can hear everything that your neighbor is saying / doing. I was given 2 pillows for me and my significant other, when I asked for 2 more (as I like multiple pillows) I was refused. If you are coming solo and you meet a girl / guy, there is a 1000 baht joiner fee. Other than being in the heart of "Arabic town" (I love Arabic Food) I have almost nothing good to say about this place. Stay Clear!!
