Rooms 20 years out-of-date, but fantastic food!
We stay in a lot of hotels, and these rooms are extremely โtiredโ, however the money has been well spent in the restaurant area.
The dining takes place in a smart, comfortable environment, and the food is really of a very high standard; last week I had literally the best venison that I have ever eaten, and the Chicken Balmoral and the Finnan Haddie were of a similarly high standard. The service was of the same level as the food, switch a mixture of eager, helpful youngsters and more experienced staff overseeing the operation.
So, great food, great service, lovely people โฆ just need to spend some of the significant room rates on modernising the rooms, I think!
