I paid for a family suite but was given a double room. So, I paid almost $200 to stay in a double which goes for $95 a night on the weekends (we stayed on a weeknight). I was told that Hotels.com frequently promises rooms that SpringHill Marriott does not have. "We tell them we don't have the rooms available and they don't listen." Exact quote from the front desk employee on Thursday, September 22nd at 12:15am. When I asked what could be done since the room was prepaid, I was told to make sure the receipt credited me the difference? What receipt? I already had a receipt for the FULL AMOUNT FOR A FAMILY SUITE. The double was filthy. Wallpaper peeling off in the bathroom, stains all over the wall under the TV, the shower hadn't been cleaned, someone had used a kleenex and stuffed it back into the box. Just disgusting. We won't be booking through Hotels.com again nor will be staying at a Marriott. Too many sites to book through and nicer hotels to stay at.
