Oldish room, very small bathroom, noisy from street activities. Very good location close to the train station, restaurants and Duomo and other museums. I recommand this hotel for the location, a plus since you don’t have to carry your suitcase far. Lots of restos close by so is the market for great lunches.

Location was great. Staff was so friendly. I misplaced my sunglasses in room and cleaning services found it and brought back to me before I left hotel. So very honest. Hotel Rex is ideally located for a few days in Florence. The main attractions are very walkable, for south of the river it is around 30 minutes. We had a lovely welcome from the staff and they had baggage storage as we were early for our check in. A nice continental breakfast selection available too. The street of the hotel is lively with bars and restaurants. This might put some quieter travelers off, but we were happy endulging in the €3.50 spritz and apretivio. The rooms and amenities are rustic, but all working properly and still very clean. The pros of it's location and service certainly outweighed the room conditions for us. Overall, a lovely stay in Florence. Thank you!
