If you want to be by the caverns, location is perfect. Itโs also a good spot that itโs close to National parks and Carlsbad, right in between. My biggest complaint is that they claim to be a non smoking hotel, but we got a โpet friendlyโ room (when we didnโt need it after all) but you can tell that building used to be the smoking rooms because the smell of smoke was horrible. We were there three nights, and to be honest I regretted that decision. The pool was extremely cold, only one slide was functioning and even my kiddos who love to swim no matter what, didnโt want to stay in too long because it was so cold lol. I would have definitely moved to Carlsbad to another hotel knowing what I know now, but shame on us, I guess we shouldโve asked to switch rooms. Plus, you better eat before you get out there or bring food. They do have a restaurant next door that closes at 3, and is closed on Sunday. They do warn you about this ahead of time though.
