When booking in , it was late and snowing hard so I was tired.
I misunderstood re parking charges and so my gripe here was on me.
However paying for the room and then trying to add a deposit for room service was very stressful.
I was told on 2 attempts that my card had been refused but when I checked my banking app, 2 charges of £100 each had been taken and so it was the hotels system at fault.
To make up for this I was given an upgrade which was accepted.
However when I got into the room, it was like an ice box and I had to keep my coat and scarf on whilst I tried to figure out the heating.
Eventually I got heat into the room but then found, in -1 temperature and snowing, the window behind the curtain was wide open.
This should not be my first experience of any hotels bedroom.
Going out all of the next day I got back fairly late, grabbed a beer and went up to my room to work before dinner.
As my upgraded room was in someone else's name, which was only for one night, my electronic key would not work, meaning coat and beer in hand I had to go back down 3 Floors to reception and so I was incredabily irritated.
Finally getting into the room, I was yet again met with an ice box feel and found the other window had been opened whilst I was away.
Personally I do not have time for such service, and although I can only compliment the staff, especially those serving breakfast and dinner, the actual stay was unpleasant and I will not stay in the Crowne Plaza Manchester again.
