I stayed 4 nights in a disability adapted room, no one ever came near my room to clean it, change my towels or bed linen. I was told when I arrived that for "Eco friendliness" towels, rooms and linens would only be cleaned after 3 days, so I complied with this advice\ request and expected by the third day to get a clean room, linens and towels, by the time I came back to my room after being out, it had remained untouched again! 4 days without a refresh or any clean towels and linens in the heat of summer is just nasty. I paid over ยฃ400 for my stay.No kettle, tea, coffee or milk in the rooms. I went to Tescos and bought my own kettle verses their guests being expected to PAY ยฃ5 for a coffee and cookie each time at the reception. There's even a RENTAL on Umbrellas! When I arrived the person standing at the front desk on arrival told me if I wanted my bags/ suitcases stored on my last day, there's a FEE (a recurring theme!)
I was asked to check myself in to get my room card even though the receptionist was standing right there reading my personal details back to me from their computer screen. If you they want guests to return, perhaps be appreciative of their custom - without them there is no hotel business! Be kind and provide some extras without expecting them to constantly have their hands in their pockets!
