My teenage daughter and I stayed in an animal view room. We were in room 144 which is the koala block. We had trees outside our room but didn't see our resident koala from our room during our stay. We did get some great photos during the complimentary sanctuary tour
The hotel is described as a luxury boutique eco retreat. I wouldn't say it's a 5 star standard. The staff were attentive, friendly and approachable. The view from the N'gurra lounge/reception of the bridge and skyline is amazing. We were on a ground floor room, the room was basically equipped with a king bed, 2 arm chairs and a small end table. The tv had included movies or free to air but no ability to cast or stream. The bed was comfortable, a pillow menu would be appreciated
Our room was equipped as accessible and while that is a great feature to have available for guests who require it, the shower was a nightmare. The bathroom layout was toilet in the corner (with rails), vanity along the wall with a single sink and a shower in the other corner with a shower curtain. The floor doesn't have sufficient slope so the whole floor gets wet. There was a Hand-held shower and a rainwater head and a fold down bench if required.
We opted to do the night tour of the zoo at $25pp excellent and well worth it. Buffet breakfasf was great and included, parking and zoo admission. One off unique expereience
