Great stay!
The hotel was clean and staff were friendly. The breakfast was great and I loved that every room was a suite.

Not your typical Hampton-stay somewhere elsr
Not up to Hampton standard. Only one very slow elevator. Some rooms did not have air conditioners that worked.
Was not able to check in until 3:35. I had requested an early check in months ago. Called before arriving and they put me on a waiting list. We went early but was told to come back at 3:00. Long line of people checking in, all had issues of one sort or another. The person at the front desk told us when we checked out that only one computer was working.
Family was in from other states for family wedding. That was a recommendation by the venue, which I will give them an update.
Thought it was way overpriced.
Breakfast was the only thing I can say was okay,

Nice location and good hotel
Good hotel and location. Looking forward to a facelift in 2025 refreshing the old decor. The hotelโs staff were helpful, friendly and very accommodating.

We enjoyed our stay :-) the property was older, but it was very clean and the staff was exceptional! This is an area that you would expect the properties to be older because the location is very good!! Great staff

Broken thermostat in two hotel rooms and manager told us not to adjust it, because itโs broken. Front desk staff did not answer the phone when we called 4x, so we took the elevator to the front desk to ask how to fix the temp (stuck at 79 degrees). On second day of our stay, the large pump style body wash and conditioner bottles on the shower wall ran out and were left empty although we asked for staff to refill. The gate to the pool was impossible to open with card key. Another guest let us in. They were very tall and able to reach over the gate to open from the inside.

The room was in very bad shape. Most importantly they knowingly put us in a room with a broken air conditioner. The room also had no windows that could be opened. The oustide temperature was 58 degrees, while it was 80 degrees in our room. We had to switch rooms with my small children at 1am in the morning. This was a very unsafe and disappointing situation for my family. I would like a full refund on all money spent for this reservation.

I liked the breakfast that was included with the room rate. The location of the hotel was good. The hotel itself was very old and tired. The hotel was clean and the staff was professional and friendly but the hotel itself was dark, and old.

The hotel smelt like weed 24/7 and our hotwl room had a very weird smell to it. The floors were dirty, our feet were dirty after walking on the carpet. There was someones undies in the sofa bed. If we had the time to find another hotel we would have. Our shower had no soap in the container on the firat night we checked in.

Bummed Out
I booked and specific (ocean View room) got a golf course and golf balls hitting the balcony and glass door , also said no hidden fees when I booked it and got there having to pay an additional $72 and the lady checking me in and the other lady checking me out didn't care at all wouldn't let me show them what I was talking about, just dismissed me. The beds are like sleeping on a brick, so we didn't get any sleep, then there's the carpet it turned all our feet black. The free breakfast was very nice, and the dining room was clean.

The hot tub has been out since April. The renovations are listed on the website but not completed. Not many options around hotel and only one elevator. Had to pay for parking. Lots of spider webs on balcony!!! and the inside stairwell! Staff was nice.

Disappointing experience at Hampton Inn San Clemente, No AC working in the room, and after canceling, no incentive was offered, but they had 3 fans upon arrival, they knew their AC was not working, don't know for how long but didn't bother to call me before arriving and making a decision. Frustrating to find no alternative room available after long distance and hours of driving. The hotel franchise needs to improve guest services for this situations.
