Horror lodge do not stay!
Staff was incompetent and rude, hotel was disgustingly dirty rodent traps, mold, pool was filthy did not provide deposit back after not even staying due to dirty conditions bed was filthy. Pool and spa was very dirty as well.

Warning! Awful Place!
The heat in the room didn't work and it was really cold. We complained to the front desk and they finally sent someone after 3 compaints. We ended up buying a space heater because we were so cold. They said the heater couldnt be fixed and they refused to give us another comparable room. The whole place smells old and moldy. The hallways were loud and smelled like dog pee. There was dog hair everywhere. The breakfast at the restaurant was poorly made, and it took over an hr for just scrambled eggs and bacon. The TV doesn't even have cable, and good luck if you want to try any streaming services, the TV just kept buffering. Never stay here!

The best thing about this place is the location. Beautiful seaside spot. The hotel itself was probably great in 1978, but pretty rough today. My room was not clean. The staff seems disinterested. If you are hungry, eat elsewhere.

Excellent, with some room for improvement
The view and the location are beautiful! The room was very nice and mostly comfortable. The pillows definitely need to be replaced and are lacking in stuffing. We loved the idea of there being a restaurant on-site, but we felt the food could definitely be better and breakfast included with the price. We appreciated that there is a coffee machine in the room, but it didn’t seem very sanitary to have that and the drinking cups in the bathroom. But overall, it was a great stay and we'll definitely go again.

It was ok! Being placed on 3rd floor with an animal is tough. The fire alarms went off at 7am with no explanation. The pool and hot tub were dirty. The screen for our window was gone so we were unable to open it to hear the ocean.

Wonderful weekend
Perfect location for exploring the Redwoods. View from our room was stunning. Room was big, comfortable and clean. Food venues in the area was limited but the Good Harvest Cafe was really good. Restaurant in hotel was OK. TV was difficult for us but only cuz we never used Roku. Finally figured it out 2nd day. Definitely going back!!

New Years stay
The room was very clean, but we did not get house keeping service the rest of our stay 3days. The hotel definitly needs some TLC it's showing it's age. The front desk staff was good bur not the friendliest. Restaurant food and staff was great. The hardwood floors do nothing to dampen the sound from the other rooms.

NO OPERATIONAL POOL OR HOT TUB!!
I booked this hotel because it was advertised as having a pool and hot tub. We arrived and there was a sign stating that the pool and hot tub were out of service. After talking to an employee, I was told that the pool and hot tub haven't been in operation for a couple of years...they should NOT be able to advertise this on the various booking platforms as that is fraud. I asked to cancel but was told that they couldn't cancel and refund my money because I booked through Hotels.com/Expedia. It was late on Christmas eve so we didn't have much of an option to try to get thing resolved so we ended up staying. It was very frustrating

Our favorite place in town
It's our first choice when we are in Crescent City. Our favorite part is that every room has at least a partial view of the ocean. Plus they npw have a sauna that's up and running. I had an opportunity to talk to the owner for about 20 minutes and share with him several areas of concern. He was very thankful as he took notes. The issue with mildew/ mold they are currently working on. He said it's been a constant battle. But it's a problem in every motel we've stayed at in Crescent City.

We had to switch rooms, our first one wasn’t cleaned. Like at all. The staff was friendly and made switching to a new room super easy. The second room was much cleaner. We were super bummed we couldn’t use the pool or hot tub. Both looked like overly dirty fish tanks and smelled the same. That part was pretty nasty.

Unclean and understaffed
I booked this hotel thinking Oceanfront, for 2 nights and really excited to have the restaurant there. Especially open on Thanksgiving. The staff was rather unenthusiastic, and the hotel lobby quite plain. The room appeared fine. When I went to dinner, there was someone cursing and throwing a fit in the kitchen about how they didn't know how to cook, and they were ready to walk out. I left to find dinner elsewhere and when I came back the guests were complaining about not having any place to eat or do things. I was feeling rather uncomfortable being there. So the next morning I went to shower I found out that my shower had not been cleaned from the last person's uses. There was long hairs just everywhere all in the shower. It was so gross. I went to dry my hair and the dryer simply would not work. I went down to the desk and there was no one there. So I tried calling the desk without anybody trying to answer the phone. At this point I enlisted hotels.com help to leave this place because there's simply no staff and no a help and not working facility that's unclean. Even hotels.com couldn't get ahold of them Via phone and they weren't responded to via email. I tried to turn in my keys at the front desk where the girl finally was there and gave me a number to the manager who never responded to my phone call. This is the worst experience I've had from a hotels.com booking. Makes me wary of using hotels.com. And I definitely would never return to this hotel.

Do not stay here
I was switched into three separate rooms, the first two were absolutely horribly dirty and had a funny smell! I was as charged an additional charge to switch to a clean room! This is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at and would not recommend for anyone to stay! Looks at the pictures there was bread under the heater that was hard as a rock!!
