Staff were lovely, food was good. Mattress wasn't good, shower was less than ideal but all in all fine for the price of the room.

Great views across Morecombe Bay

Staff were friendly and helpful. My room was a good size with a bay window looking out over Morecombe Bay. The Inn seems as if it’s being gradually nicely refurbished.

8/10 Very good

Very friendly and good value Worth noting that parking is on the public car park behind. However that is free from 18.00 to 8.00 and if you buy a ticket any time left on it in the evening is added to the following morning.

Commodore

Room and staff were very good ,only problem with the room was the shower which needs attention as it was intermittently hot or cold ,when hot it was very hot.Breakfast was good but could benefit from starting half an hour earlier.

2/10 Poor

Beautiful view. Bed was like sleeping on a piece of slate that they use for shingles here. Woke, rather was awaken by work men at the break of dawn outside our 2nd story room scraping and preparing to paint the window frames. Needless to say, left after 1 night. Good and drink was good downstairs but sleeping was tough

Should warn when booking ‘not suitable for wheelchair users or people with severe walking difficulties’. It is an old building and floors etc very uneven. Decor is very tired. Bedding was clean so that was a plus.

Very basic but friendly helpful staff

We arrived to a room with a very small double bed that should have been a superior room. There was no 3rd bed for my daughter to sleep in and my husband was too tall for the double. The hotel is run down and the room was dirty. The bathroom light only worked occasionally. The police arrived at 11am to sort out a domestic at the inn and the music was loud until late so don’t go here if you want to sleep. The staff however were fantastic and views were nice.

6/10 Good

The staff at the hotel were very helpful and friendly, the breakfast was terrific and the room at first sight looked good. Once staying in the room, it was apparent that many items I would noramlly expect in a hotel room were missing. There were no handtowels, no bedside light (although one was found when I asked for one), no bathmat, no toilet brush, no way of keeping the bedroom window open other than wedging something under the sash window, no way of closing the curtains other than climbing up on the window ledge to ease the curtain rings over the join in the curtain rail. The stairs leading up to the bedrooms were filthy and the paintwork was badly in need of renewing. Finally, although the breakfast was great, the strong smell of bleach pervading the dining room was very unpleasant.

Don’t stay

Good evening. I would just like to say how disappointed I am with the stay that we have just had we stayed in crows nest and powder room the shower didn’t work the tap was broken the bedding was dirty the light didn’t work the plug was hanging down on extension lead touching radiator walls had holes in. We saw menu in bedroom for breakfast when I asked for poached eggs no sorry not available local sausages were Richmond or cheap sausages no beans first morning no weetabix available 2nd morning no weetabix still and no white bread The food we order the first night was disgusting the steak pie burnt and when we complained u offered drink or pudding we paid for a meal it should be replaced or refunded there was no steak on me u as advertised outside the food has gone down hill massively since last year. And the glasses we were served are drinks in at the bar were dirty and the lager was flat. I am asking for the money back in both rooms as it ruined our stay and we won’t Be returning.

Good base.

There wasn’t much to do very close to the accommodation. This may have been due to the time of year. Grange over Sands is a good base for the surrounding area.

Lovely place we've stayed here a few times and always had a pleasant stay. So close to the rail station and a lovely walk on the promenade.

Rooms clean. Lovely staff, lovely view. Good food

6/10 Good

Overall the stay was ok. Our room ( the Porthole) was on the first floor overlooking the pub, so it was extremely loud. Room was clean, but the curtains did not close and the water pressure was very low. The staff were friendly and helpful. Location good, right on the bay and the promenade. Parking was self pay.
