It was very unpleasant. When we arrived at the hotel, the door was closed and couldn't get in. So I called the hotel and asked how we could access to the reception. It turned out that the reception was located in another building across the street. There were another couple who arrived at the hotel and were also not aware of this info. Even though it was our fault that we didn't read this information when we booked this hotel, they should have a notice for the location of reception at the enterance of the hotel building just to make sure. When we called the hotel to ask where the reception was, The woman on the phone spoke so fast with thick accent that I coouldn't understand what she was talking. When I told her that I didn't understand, she got upset and almost shouted at me saying why I couldn't find the reception building. After wasting a lot of time on the street, we finally could check in. The woman on the phone told us she didn't understand why we had hard time finding the reception place and gave us somewhat hostile attitude. They knew that we were struggling to find where the reception was but didn't do anything about it. It must have been nice if one of the hotel crew came down to the hotel building where we all were and guided us there. Because they were supposed to come down to the hotel building to lead us to the hotel room after checking in. This whole process wasted our time and ruined our mood on our first day in Firenze.
