Our hotel room had one of those adjoining doors to the neighboring room, which had zero sound insulation between the rooms. I woke up at 2:30 AM because my neighbors were talking. They weren’t even speaking loudly, but I could almost make out what they were saying and I couldn’t get back to sleep. Not being able to sleep in a hotel is a dealbreaker for me.
The thermostat in the room also did not seem to control the heater. The room stayed at a constant 75° even when we turned the thermostat all the way down to 65. We ended up having to leave the window open to lower the temperature.
The room seemed clean enough, except!! the fabric shower curtain in our bathroom had visible pink mold on the bottom edge that stank when it got wet. It must have been months since it was last washed. Like a gross campsite shower. That made me worry that maybe I should’ve worn slippers in the shower…
Seems like these issues could be fixed easily with gaskets around the door, washing shower curtain with bleach, fixing the thermostat.
Aside from all the issues with our particular room, the property seemed well kept and cute with lots of activities to keep you busy. I might stay again, but definitely not in a hotel room. Maybe a cabin next time.
