Service upon check-in is good here, location is not bad, amenities are nice (in theory). Sleeping in the dorms is difficult though. They're in the basement (along with the pool table room) and the entire basement reeks. Eventually realized this is due to the alley cat(s) that are allowed to come in & out as they please. The one I met liked to sit in the hallway and mewl at all hours & no doubt has been marking everywhere inside for years. In addition, locals hang out either inside the entry or on the street, talking loudly & scraping furniture throughout most of the night. No consideration for the customers trying to sleep just below. Bathrooms are also very dingy. Although not the worst, there are definitely better hostels in the city.
