A great location for our Tivoli Theatre show and very convenient for the bus station. We had high tea which was very tasty with good cakes and great value but £11.40 for a glass of wine was not so good. We have booked again for later in the year

I have emailed the hotel separately but the heating was the main issue, no aircon and no fan with a drainage smell. On a positive note, the hotel's reception, bar and restaurant are all very nice and staff welcoming.

Good location but no air conditioning

Staff were friendly. Hotel is in a good location for the town centre and close to the ferry terminal. The hotel is in an old building with no air conditioning in the room and we couldn’t open any windows so was unfortunately it was an uncomfortable night. It’s also on a busy road through the town so you could hear the traffic all the time. The room was nice and big and bathroom was nice.

Bed was comfy food was good but the rooms are old every footstep the floor creaked loudly we had to move rooms as we had a leek in roof moved us to standard room and said we would get money back but then they changed mind cause we had booked through hotel.com then next day key wouldn’t work had to wait till the replaced key not be back very disappointed

Never use hotels.com

Firstly, hotels.com didn't include my nhs benefits discount and i paid £40 more than i thought i was paying. Stayed in room 102 which looked onto a dead pigeon. Shower had no temp control or cold water so it was scalding. Breakfast wasn't included in the price. No biscuits in room.

A central hotel

This is a good hotel. Not grand. But more than good enough for us at least. It is situated right by the bus station, so it’s extremelybeasy access both arroving and leaving. Breakfast was good. I liked it. They have their own restaurant. I’d say it’s a solid 3 out of 6. the steak was very tastyz my partner got a mix up in orders and recieved a burger. She can really enjoy a good burger.. this was not it. It was dry and tasteless. So if it just wasn’t a mishap the kitchen I guess they should try to at least use some salt and pepper on the patties. But all in all.. nice stay. The room was pretty spacious. We enjoyed our stay here.

The room was okay but, it gets very hot in the hotel. When we went to dinner, it took an hour and half for a steak and chicken meal, people who arrived 40-60 minutes after us got their meals before us. It’s a convenient hotel as it’s right across from union square but, may not be a bad idea to seek elsewhere.

No good, but not all bad

I’m really hoping this is a one off, but the service during dinner was absolutely terrible. We waited at least 15 min for someone to acknowledge us, then once ordered took over an hour to receive our meal. No explanation, no apology. Once our meal came my fish was overcooked. After all was said and done they tried to charge us a courtesy tip. Not a good experience. On a positive note. Breakfast was fantastic. Lots of great choices. Hot breakfast was delicious. You also had choices of cereal, yogurt, fruit, toast.
