The check-in people and the manager need a refresher on customer service. Closing half the elevators so that the rooftop pool and club can get more people resulting in the hotel guests have to wait 20-30 minutes in a 30-person deep line is not ideal. David who's in charge of luggage was amazing, as well as the cleaning crew.

The hotel staff was amazing- helpful, courteous, professional and caring above and beyond what was we ever expected. Our room wasn't ready past the check-in time. We were given an available upgraded room, but weren't charged extra for it.
The room was clean, bed and pillows heavenly, a/c quiet , the view-priceless!

Tired hotel. Not very clean and not that put together. Staff was very nice but I don't think that I would stay there again especially considering I paid $600/night

The Staff!! 5+ star engagement and enthusiasm. Felt genuine taken care of in our 5 day long stay.
The view from our room at the 14th floor, facing Hudson and down town was absolutely amazing, day and night!
The location is perfectly centered in Manhattan and easy to access various attractions and of course right in the middle of The Meatpacking vibe.
The breakfast at The Standard Grill is delicious and generous. Unfortunately not included and a bit pricey.
The only set back is the rooms.. They are starting to get a bit rough in the edges since the hotel is 15 years old. But details and architecture is still iconic and beautiful.
I will go back. No doubt.
