The Admiral Fell Inn is an authentically historical property - right down to the bedding. Our room seemed to be in the midst of a remodel, but not quite finished.
No iron or board, towel bars, toilet tissue holder, closet rod - so hangers weren't necessary - or switch and outlet cover plates. There were USB outlets for charging, but no secure wifi. There was a coffee maker, no refrigerator. The selling point for us, a balcony space, was as per photo. The parapet walls are to tall to see over. The furniture is authentically weathered. The potted planting intended to separate our room from the next was dead, or barely living. Truthfully there was no separation. The balcony was shared. Drapery in the room did not cover the windows properly. It felt unsafe and non-private even inside. We did not see another guest though. Booking is done off-site through a group that is not familiar with the property. Be sure to call the hotel manager with questions. Ask about every detail - for example, there is no parking on site. The front entry has 4 concrete stairs right up to the door. No bellman. There is parking on a one way side street, if you can find any, for ADA access. Drag your bags in there. Park in a garage at least 4 blocks away. No "frills". Staff was kind.
