My fiancé and I were very disappointed with our stay at Iberostar Selection Paraíso Lindo. We booked a king room but were given two double beds instead. One bed was broken, and both had mold growing on them. The room smelled strongly of mildew, and even after multiple washes, our clothes still reeked. When we asked to switch rooms, we were only offered a downgrade despite paying for a higher-tier room.
Safety was another major issue. I slipped and got hurt in the lobby due to extremely slippery floors, and no staff member came to check on me. The pools were messy, with empty cups scattered around, and the water park was closed without notice.
The food was mediocre, often re-cooked and served over multiple days. Securing reservations for restaurants was difficult, the café served the same limited items daily, and room service delivered raw burgers. We left the trip with severe food poisoning, which made us sick for over a week after returning home.
On top of these issues, workers were constantly pushing timeshare sales, which was incredibly frustrating when we were trying to relax. While the beach was beautiful and well-maintained, it wasn’t enough to redeem the overall experience.
I would not recommend this resort due to its poor accommodations, lack of cleanliness, safety concerns, and subpar food quality. It was not worth the cost, and we regret our decision to stay here.
