We stayed here 2/24-2/28 and while it was not horrible, here is what you might want to consider when booking this hotel.
Pros: Friendly staff, across the street from a Ross, very close to International Market Place which has a ton of food options shaved ice and shopping, has an attached small restaurant called Heavenly that is delicious and they give you $5 vouchers for each day you are there. If nothing else you can pop in and use on a guava juice or açaí bowl and they do provide beach towels, 5 min walk to waikiki beach.
Con’s:
They are doing construction and the jackhammering starts at 9 am, the pool is very small, the parking is atrocious and right now they have NO SELF PARKING but that’s not something they tell you. You will be forced to do valet parking which does have in and out privileges but is an added cost per day and if you have an suv or truck it will be $60 per night to park. The room is bare bones, no microwave but there is a small fridge. There are no drawers, just two small ones on the nightstands and there is zero counter space in the bathroom. It’s also a very small bathroom.
We come to Oahu frequently, so it was ok that this was not our most comfortable stay but This shouldn’t be anyone’s 1st experience and I’m sorry to say that :( If things like this don’t bother you then there’s nothing majorly wrong but if a little extra comfort is important to you then consider spending a little more & staying elsewhere.
